CliniqGuide is an informational publication, not a healthcare provider. Contacting us does not establish a doctor-patient relationship, and our contact forms are not intended for requesting medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency assistance.

Google Analytics may collect information such as session activity, approximate location, browser information, and device information. Google processes this information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, medical information, or other directly identifying information submitted through our contact forms to Google Analytics.

You may be able to limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect how certain website features function.

Google also offers tools that may allow users to limit Google Analytics data collection through supported browsers.

Business transfers

If Oracle Media, LLC or CliniqGuide is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.

Any successor’s handling of personal information will remain subject to this Privacy Policy unless a different policy is provided as required by law.

We may disclose information when you ask us to do so, authorize the disclosure, or intentionally direct us to interact with another party.

CliniqGuide may contain links to healthcare providers, retailers, affiliate partners, advertisers, and other third-party websites.

When you click a third-party or affiliate link, the third party may collect information about your visit or interaction under its own privacy policy. This may include information used to determine that a referral originated from CliniqGuide.

If you complete a qualifying action after following an affiliate link, CliniqGuide may receive compensation and limited reporting information concerning the referral or conversion. We may not receive your complete account, medical, payment, or treatment information from the provider.

CliniqGuide does not control the privacy, security, or data practices of third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any provider or service before submitting personal information.

More information about our commercial relationships is available on our How We Make Money page.

6. Sale and sharing of personal information

CliniqGuide does not currently sell personal information in exchange for money.

Based on our current website practices, we also do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, sometimes referred to as targeted advertising under certain state privacy laws.

We use website analytics to understand and improve CliniqGuide. Some privacy laws may define terms such as “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly. If our practices change in a way that creates additional privacy rights, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.

CliniqGuide publishes information about health treatments and services. As a result, a visitor’s reading activity or inquiries may relate to personal health interests.

We do not ask readers to submit medical records or detailed health histories through our general contact forms. Please avoid including sensitive health information unless it is reasonably necessary for a correction, accessibility request, or other legitimate inquiry.

CliniqGuide does not use contact-form submissions to provide medical treatment or make decisions concerning a person’s eligibility for healthcare.

Information submitted to an independent healthcare provider through that provider’s website is governed by the provider’s own privacy practices and is not controlled by CliniqGuide.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • Respond to an inquiry
  • Maintain appropriate business records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements
  • Meet legal, accounting, or security obligations

The appropriate retention period may depend on the nature of the information, why it was collected, whether it remains necessary, and any applicable legal requirements.

We may retain information in aggregated or de-identified form when it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.

9. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect the information under our control.

However, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.

You should use care when deciding what information to transmit through the internet or submit through a contact form.

10. Your privacy choices

You may have the following choices regarding your information.

Contact communications

You may ask us to stop sending nonessential communications by following any unsubscribe instructions provided or by contacting us.

We may still send communications necessary to respond to a request or address an ongoing matter.

Most browsers allow users to block, restrict, or delete cookies. Your browser’s help documentation should explain the available controls.

Restricting cookies may affect certain website functions.

Third-party analytics controls

Third-party analytics providers may offer their own privacy settings, opt-out tools, or browser extensions. Those tools are provided and controlled by the applicable third party.

Global Privacy Control and similar signals

Where required by applicable law, we will process legally recognized browser-based privacy signals, such as Global Privacy Control.

Because CliniqGuide does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out signal may not result in a visible change to your experience.

11. U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under applicable law.

Depending on where you live, the law that applies, and whether CliniqGuide is subject to that law, these rights may include the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information
  • Request access to personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information
  • Opt out of targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information
  • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request
  • Receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right

These rights are subject to legal definitions, limitations, exceptions, and verification requirements.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Verification may require information sufficient to reasonably confirm that the request concerns you.

You may also be permitted to use an authorized agent. We may request proof that the agent is authorized to act for you and may require you to verify your identity directly.

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below and include:

  • Your name
  • Your state of residence
  • The right you wish to exercise
  • The email address or other information associated with your interaction with us
  • Any information reasonably necessary to understand and verify the request

We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If we deny a request, residents of states that provide an appeal right may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that they wish to appeal.

12. Notice to California residents

To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to CliniqGuide, California residents may have rights concerning access, deletion, correction, sale or sharing opt-outs, certain sensitive-information practices, and nondiscrimination.

The categories of personal information we may collect include:

  • Identifiers, such as name, email address, IP address, and online identifiers
  • Internet or electronic activity, such as pages viewed, referring sources, and website interactions
  • Approximate geolocation information, such as general location derived from an IP address
  • Professional information, if voluntarily provided through a business or partnership inquiry
  • Communications, such as messages sent through a contact form
  • Inferences or analytics information, such as general conclusions about website usage or content performance

We may collect these categories directly from you, automatically from your device, or from service providers that support website operation and analytics.

We use and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

CliniqGuide does not currently sell personal information for money or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

13. Children’s privacy

CliniqGuide is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information without appropriate parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us using the information below.

CliniqGuide may link to or display content provided by third parties.

Third parties may collect information when you interact with their websites, videos, widgets, forms, or other features. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies.

A link from CliniqGuide does not mean that we control or accept responsibility for the third party’s privacy or security practices.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:

  • Our website
  • Our data practices
  • The services we use
  • Applicable laws
  • Our business operations

When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy.

If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
